Description of Service:
The service provides 24 hour support to two ladies and one gentleman with complex needs. They are supported to live in their own home and fulfil their potential in every way possible. The majority of support we provide is one to one and the bungalow has been fully adapted to meet the needs of all our service users.
Services/Activities provided by the service:
All service users’ personal care requirements were taken into consideration and the staff team worked closely with Occupational Therapists to obtain the required equipment needed for each individual. Other outside agencies that we access include: Dietician, Speech and Language Therapist, District and Community Nurses and Chiropody. We also have a fully adapted vehicle. This will safely accommodate two standing wheelchairs and one folded. This allows all service users to access outside activities as much as possible. Activities include: wheelchair skating, boccia, swimming, bowling and many more including the Cosgrove music and art groups. Families play an important role in the lives of our service users and staff maintain a close relationship with them to ensure we deliver the best possible service for everyone.
How to access the Service:
Our service is accessed directly through referral from the local authority to our organisation. Both parties assess the needs of the individual and agree the appropriate care and support required.
